A joint meeting of Borderlands Foundation and Friends of Byrdstown to go forward with downtown revitalization opportunities at the Dixie Cafe Tuesday, Sept. 1st at 11 a.m.

L.B.J. & C. - Sep 1, 15

The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy Council has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the L.B.J. & C.
Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, Cookeville.

Parade - Sep 4, 15

PCHS would like to invite everyone to come out and show your support for the Bobcats Football team during the 2nd Annual Football Homecoming Parade. The parade will be held on Friday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. It will follow the usual parade route. Please line the streets to show your support! Feel free to decorate your windows as well!

Walker-Moles Reunion - Sep 5, 15

The Walker-Moles Reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 5th at the Chanute Community Center. A potluck lunch will be served at noon. Come out and enjoy the day with family and friends.

Horsemenís Assoc. Quarter Horse Show - Sep 5, 15

Pickett Co. Horsemenís Assoc. Quarter Horse Show is set for Sept. 5, starting at 5 p.m. Gate entry is $3 per person with children 6 & under admitted free. For more info call 704-6589 or 510-6651.

Closing - Sep 7, 15

Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day and will re-ope on Tuesday, September 8th.

L.B.J.& C. - Sep 7, 15

The L.B.J.& C. Development Corporation Head Start Centers and the Central Office will be closed Sept. 7, 2015 in observance of Labor Day. The Head Start Central Office and Centers will re-open on Sept. 8, 2015.

Board of Education meeting - Sep 10, 15

The Pickett County Board of Education will meet Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the office of the Director of Schools. There will be a work session at 6:30. Comments from the public are always welcomed by the Pickett County Board of Edu

benefit - Sep 19, 15

A benefit for Virgie Kennedy will be held September 19th at the Byrdstown Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a live band, cake walk, auction and concessions with all proceeds going toward medical expenses.
