Poster Contest - Oct 24, 14

The 2014 Pickett County SCD Poster Contest theme is "Dig Deeper The Mysteries in the Soil" and is for students in the K-12. Poster size must be between 8.5"X11" and 22"X28" and completed posters will be picked up on Friday, Oct. 24. For poster contest rules and more information call the Pickett Co. SCD office at 864-3849.

Trail Ride - Oct 25, 14

√The Big South Fork Saddle Club will hold a trail ride on Saturday, October 25, from the Slaven Trailhead in Oneida to Bear Creek. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. Eastern time and riders should plan to bring their lunch to eat on the trail. All riders are welcome, you do not have to be a club member to participate. Meeting - Oct 27, 14

JECDB & ID Board will be meeting on Monday, Oct. 27th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Regions Bank.

Christmas in November - Nov 7, 14

Christmas in November will be Fri. Nov. 7th, 9am-8pm and Sat. Nov. 8th, 9am-3pm at the Byrdstown Community Center. Food items, craft items, biscuits, white and chocolate gravy will be sold. Door prizes given away every hour. For more information call Phyllis Lee at 931-864-8275.

Board of Education Meeting - Nov 10, 14

The Pickett Co. Board of Education will meet Monday, November 10, at 6 p.m. in the office of the Director of Schools. There will be a work session at 5:30. Comments from the public are always welcomed by the Pickett Co. Board of Education.
