Harley Benton Beaty
December 8, 1914 - April 12, 2008


PALL MALL--Harley Benton (Pa) Beaty, 93, 5035 Possum Trot Road, Pall Mall, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his residence. He was a farmer.
He was born Dec. 8, 1914 in Fentress County, the son of the late John Andrew Beaty and Eliza (Stephens) Beaty. He lived most of his life in Fentress County. He was a member of the Travisville Methodist Church and was also a World War II veteran serving in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Doyle Beaty; four sisters, Chloa Beaty, Vannie Upchurch, Inus Byrd and Fonzie Storie; three brothers, Owensby Lex, Caster and Hasca Beaty.
Surviving relatives include wife, Fonza (Poor) Beaty, Pall Mall; three daughters, Lyllis Byrd and husband, Danny; Phyllis Roysden and husband, Charlie; and Cheryl Beaty; son, Larry Beaty and wife, Odesia, all of Pall Mall; daughter-in-law: Carol Beaty, Lavergne, Tn.; two sisters, Myrtle Brown and Maxine Beaty, both of Pall Mall; three grandchildren Jamie Evans and husband, Jody, Tracy Smith and husband Brad; Kim Knotts and husband Vann; four great grandchildren: Bailey and Brady Evans, Lyza Smith and Evann Knotts; special friend to the family Louise Upchurch; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 13 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gerald Taylor and Bro. Matthew Long officiating. Burial was at Williams Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Tony Beaty, Teddy
Russell, Wayne, Mike and Jack Poor, Leon Storie, Jody Evans, Brad Smith, Tommy Peavyhouse, and Tom Storie. Honorary pallbearers were Grea Rains, Freddie Johnson, Billy Conatser, Vann Knott, Lonnie Barton, Eulis Evans,
David Sells, Tommy Beaty and Darrell Storie.
Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Home of Byrdstown.

Doyle Jones
April 3, 1934 - March 29, 2008

BYRDSTOWN--Doyle Jones, 73, 5057 Turney Groce Rd., Byrdstown, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a carpenter, grocery store owner and operator and a shirt factory employee.

He was born April 3, 1934 in Pickett County, the son of Buchanan Jones and Jewell (Parsons) Jones. He lived all of his life in Pickett County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Stephanie Jones; sister, Estell Pritchard; and brother, Paul Jones.

Surviving relatives include wife, Rita (Ford) Jones, Byrdstown; daughter, Susan Winningham, Byrdstown; two sons Cody and Ryan Ledbetter, both of Byrdstown; sister, Inell Hall Clark, Lospalocos, Ca.; two brothers, Hubert and Lynn Jones, both of Byrdstown; grandchildren, Tiffany Winningham, Byrdstown; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held April 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cross officiating. Burial was at Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Larry Jolley, John Eric and Jeffery Ford, Adam Huddleston, Daniel Abbott, Ricky Winningham. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.
