Joe Carson Neal

March 6, 1931 - February 16, 2010
BYRDSTOWN--Joe Carson Neal, 78, 5535 Cove Creek Road, Byrdstown, passed away Feb. 16, 2010 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a farmer.
He was born March 6, 1931 in Byrdstown, the son of Millard and Ida Mae (Beaty) Neal. He lived all of his life in Pickett County and was a member of Bloomington Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bertha Neal; seven brothers, Cordell, Hoover, John, William, Alexander, Carlos and Pete Neal; son-in-law Max McWhorter.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Joann McWhorter, Albany, Ky.; son, Jeff Neal, Byrdstown; sister, Ruby Cross, Byrdstown; brother, Elzia Neal, Byrdstown; six grandchildren Matthew McWhorter (Elizabeth), Ashley McWhorter, Satisha Smith (Brian), Dawson Neal, Brandy Neal (Mike), and Jason Neal; eight great grandchildren, special friends Ken Pettricks and Ricky Brannum.
Funeral services were held Feb. 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was at Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers were Amos Nicholas, Matthew McWhorter, Charles Parris, Jim and Ricky Brannum, Mike Bohart, Brian and Johnathan Smith. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
