Robert G. “Bob” Miller
OVERTON COUNTY--Robert G. “Bob” Miller, 77, Oak Grove Community of Overton County, passed away March 1, 2010 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the State Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was born in Overton County Nov. 30, 1932 the son of the late Silas and Ura Conatser Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gerald Miller; an infant son and two half brothers.
Surviving relatives include wife, Beulah Miller, Oak Grove Community; granddaughters Emily and Erica Miller, both of Livingston; half brother, Terry Miller, Crossville; half sister Sandra Vincent, Crossville; special cousins Jackie and Jerry Wilson.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-Donald Ernest Walker, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 1st at the Northwest Manor in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born July 27th, 1931 in Byrdstown, the son of Titus and Matha (Walker) Walker. He was a lumber yard fork lift operator and attended Heavenly Life Apostolic Tabernacle at Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his parents Titus and Matha Walker; wife Ivadell Walker; sister Bula Ledbetter.
Surviving relatives include daughter Jeana Huntsman of Indianapolis, IN; step-daughter Rita Fisher of New Castle, IN; two sons, Jeffery Walker and Joey Walker both of Indianapolis,IN; step-son Roger Sells of Monterey; four sisters, Linnie Jordan and Sara Byrd, both of Byrdstown; Joyce Abbott of Nashville; Edith Nicholas of Algood; brother Doyle Walker of Byrdstown; also eight grandchildren; 15 great-grand children; and one great-great- grandchild.
Funeral services were held March 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cross officiating. Burial was at Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbeareres were Ricky Walker, Ray Jordan, Tim Huntsman, Jason Cole, David Abbott, Joey Walker. Honorary Pallbearers John Fisher, Charlie Mullins, Chris DePriest.
Brown Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Doris Marie "Jaydean" (Huckeby) Clenney

Doris Marie “Jaydean” (Huckeby) Clenney
ST. LOUIS, MO--Doris Marie “Jaydean” (Huckeby) Clenney went home to be with the Lord on February 26th at Delmar Gardens Assisted Living Care, St. Louis, MO. She was born January 16, 1928 in Pickett County to the late Edgar and Ora Huckeby of Monroe, Tn. Including her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Clenney and sister Adalene Choate.
She is survived by two sons David and Stephen Clenney, one daughter-in-law, Debbie Clenney, two grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, four sisters, Lois Lee of Hillham, Tn., Lorene Berry of Bethalto, Ill., Thelma Breeding and Peggy Smith both of Monroe, Tn. She was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church for many years. She was baptized in Jesus name, filled with the Holy ghost according to Acts 2:38 in 1948. Funeral services were through Alexander Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO. with the Rev. Jonathan Urshan officiating. Burial was in memorial Gardens in St. Louis, MO. on March 2, 2010.

BYRDSTOWN--Ruby (Holt) Maupin, 91, resident of Pickett Care and Rehab, and former resident of Cordell Hull Memorial Dr. in Byrdstown passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Pickett Care and Rehab.
She was born in Pickett County on April 30, 1918 to the late Alexander and Bertha (Sells) Holt. She lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a member of the Bloomington Christian Church. She was a retired employee from Kerr Glass Company in Dunkirk, Indiana.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Maupin; two sisters, Modean Phillips and Izetta Holt.
Survivors include, four sisters, Dillie Peperides of Pegram, TN., Colean Cross, Claudine Dillion and Elwanda Johnson all of Byrdstown; brother, Coolidge Holt of Manchester, Tn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 8:00 pm at Brown Funeral Chapel. Bro. Randall Sidwell, Bro. Charles Jolly and Bro. Rick Cross officiated with burial at Vann's Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Dillion, Bobo Johnson, Dexter Collett, Mark Yother, Mark Grones and Millard Abbott.
Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown was in charge of the arrangements.

Opal Sells Story
March 11, 2010 - January 20, 1915

COOKEVILLE--Opal Sells Story, 95, of Cookeville, formerly of Byrdstown passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville surrounded by her family.
Services were held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with burial at Smyrna Cemetery. She was born to the late F.A. and Lola Holt Sells on January 20, 1915. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Story, an infant daughter, Shirley Dean Story, and two brothers, Glen Sells and Ray Sells.
Mrs. Story taught school in Pickett County and was the office manager in family businesses including Story Motor Company and Sells Lumber Company. Also, she owned an antique business in Byrdstown for many years.
Her family includes a son Eugene (Connie) Story of Byrdstown, two daughters, Sue (Bill) Huff of Livingston, Janet (James) Kuykendall of Cookeville; grandsons, Troy Huff, Tim Huff, Christopher Storie and Casey Storie and one granddaughter, Holli Huff Halfacre; also step-grandsons, Michael Kuykendall and Micah Board and step-granddaughters, Kim Kuykendall and Heather Smith; seven great grandchildren and a sister Ova Dyer of Cookeville. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers included; James Kuykendall, Bill Huff, Chris Storie, Carey Storie, Troy Huff, Tim Huff. Honorary pallbearers were Dylan Storie, Camden Storie, Todd Huff, Trent Huff and Leni Halfacre.
