Fred Arnold Koger
September 17, 1948 - November 18, 2010

BYRDSTOWN--Fred Arnold Koger, 62, 2185 North Lick Creek Rd., Byrdstown passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 17, 1948 in Glasgow, KY to the late Willie C. and Edith Gertrude (Dalton) Koger. Mr. Koger lived most of his life in Pickett County and was an Auto Savage Dealer, Well Driller and past Pickett Co. Assessor of Property. He was also a member of the Maupin United Methodist Church.
Survivors include wife, Janet (Claborn) Koger, Byrdstown; two daughters, Angie Copeland & husband Bryan of Byrdstown and Kim Koger Moss & husband Rick of Cookeville; one brother, Howard Koger of Albany; two grandchildren, Lexie and Dalton Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Slayde Copeland and Holden Masiongale. He was also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Other than his parents Mr. Koger was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and J.T. Koger; one infant sister & one infant brother and granddaughter Gracelynn Beth King.
The family chose cremation with a memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Maupin United Methodist Church or to the family. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Cecil Koger
February 8, 1927 - November 13, 2010

ST. PETE BEACH--Cecil Fred Koger, 83, 6700 Sunset Way #807, St. Pete Beach, FL. passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.
He was born Feb. 8, 1927 in Pickett County to the late Andy C. and Ruby (Moody) Koger. Mr. Koger was a retired executive with Martin-Marietta Cement Company and a veteran of the WWII serving in the Army as a Sergeant.
Survivors include two brothers, Roy Koger of Byrdstown and Fletcher Koger, Chattanooga, TN; sister-in-law, Orpha Koger of Knoxville, TN; nieces and nephews, Bob Koger, Raleigh, N.C., Linda Hogg, Buckhead, GA., Ralph Koger, Jasper, TN., Dorothy Ann Akin, Germantown, TN., Vicky Spodeck, Brentwood, TN., Sherry Paris, Rockwood, TN. and Tim Koger, Chattanooga, TN.
He was also survived by great nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Brown Funeral Chapel with burial at Chanute-Campbell Cemetery and Jeffery Paris and David Spodeck speaking.
Pallbearers were Ralph Koger, Gib Taylor, John-David Spodeck and David Spodeck. Other than his parents Mr. Koger was preceded in death by one sister, Gee Vincent and four brothers, Dallas, Pete, Paul and A.C. Koger.
Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Home.
