Ruby Jane Conaster Scroggins
March 26, 1933 - January 5, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Ruby Jane Conaster Scroggins, 77, Pickett Care and Rehab, 129 Hillcrest Dr., Byrdstown passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born March 26, 1933 in Fentress County to the late Wilburn and Chloe Conaster. Mrs. Scroggins lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a homemaker, shirt factory employee and a CNA at Pickett Care and Rehab. She was a member of the Moodyville Missionary Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Scroggins; two brothers, Richard and Mac Arthur Conaster and two infant brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Pritchett and husband Jimmy of Grimsley; and Frances Pemberton and husband Garfield of Byrdstown; one son, Douglas Scroggins and special friend Glee Holman of Byrdstown; three sisters Ella Jean Buck, Hanford, CA., Edra Ortega, Knoxville, TN., Jo Blan Park, Hendersonville, TN; one aunt, Nora Copeland and one uncle, Austin Choate and wife Alma, all of Jamestown; four grandchildren, Amber Thorton (Chuck), Kelly Ramey (Luke), Jason Scroggins, Kole Pritchett (Jordan); three great grandchildren, Avery and Tobi Pritchett, Andrew Ramey. She was also survived by many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral services were held January 8, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial at Mt. Era Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Scroggins, Chuck Thornton, Jason Scroggins, Kole Pritchett, Luke Ramey and Robbie Matthews. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
