Jackie Carl Pryor
November 3, 1938 - February 1, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Jackie Carl Pryor, 72, of 5280 North York Highway, Byrdstown passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011. He was born Nov. 3, 1938 in Clinton Co., KY to the late Waverly and Elsie Hickman Pryor. Mr. Pryor lived most of his life in Pickett Co., and Clinton Co. Ky. He was a retired construction equipment builder and truck driver and attended the Albany Independent church and was a member of the Pcikett County Rescue Squad.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Nadonely; two brothers, Ralph and Leonard Ray Pryor; two nephews, Jimmy and Keith Pryor. Mr. Pryor is survived by his wife Orene Reagon Pryor; two sisters, Helen Crawford and husband J.B. Crawford and Judy Crouch and husband Danny; three brothers, Harce Pryor and wife Clarice, Rex Pryor, all of Byrdstown; and Bill Pryor and wife Virginia of Indianapolis, In.; also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Melvin Daniel and Bro. Tommy Hensley officiating and burial at Story Cemetery. Pallbearers included Michael Reagan, Darryl Crawford, Roger Reagon, Billy Lee, Allen Ray Pryor, Andrew Reagan, Larry Craig and J.C. Flowers. Honorary pallbearers were J.B. Crawford, James Perdue, Andy Robbins, Mark and Merle Reagon, Mikel Dalton, James Gluff and Bill Rowland. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Ruby Aleta Moles
January 25, 1943 - January 31, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Miss Ruby Aleta Moles, 68, of 1161 Clark Mountain Rd., Byrdstown passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Aleta was born Jan. 25, 1943 in Pickett County to the late Delmar and Cora Dollie Manis Moles and lived all her life in Pickett County. She was a factory worker and of Faith.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Moles; one sister, Nell Garrett; three nephews, Roger Mullins, Ricky Mullins and Arnold Burden. Aleta is survived by one brother, Powell Moles and special friend Betty Bowden; two sisters, Emmagean and husband Bill Burden and Bessie Nicholas and husband Arlon, all of Byrdstown; one uncle, Thurman Moles of Muncie, IN; special niece, Michelle Guffey of Albany, Ky.; other survivors include nephews and host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown on Thursday, February 3, 2011 with Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial at Reedertown Cemetery in Pickett County. Pallbearers included Morris Rich, David Dowdy, Randy Guffey, Jimmy Moles, Amos Nicholas and Jimmy Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Robbie Moles, Arlon Nicholas, Tyler Guffey, Lynn Moles, Adam Garrett, Isaiah Garrett, Shane Garrett and Patrick Garrett.

Dr. Sherlie Hill West
February 18, 1927 - January 23, 2011

Dr. Sherlie Hill West, 83, of Gainesville, FL formerly of Forbus, TN, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Oak Hammock at University of  Florida.
Dr. West was born February 18, 1927 in Forbus. He was a Professor and Director Post-Secondary Education. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1952. He was a member of the Rotary Club and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Dr. West is survived by wife, Leeta Roselyn (Crouch) West of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Jane Marie O’Neal and husband Wally of Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren; brother, Willie West of Pall Mall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dr. West was preceded in death by father, Stokely Round West; mother, Annie Parris (Hill) West; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 29, 2011 in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers included Jeffrey Crouch, Richard West, James West, Jerry West, Ridley Poore and Herbie Groce. Honorary pallbearers included Coleman Crouch, Willie West and Herbert Groce.
Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown was in charge of services.
