Pete Surrett
January 21, 1920 - February 8, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Pete Surrett, 91, Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center, 129 Hillcrest Dr., Byrdstown passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was born January 21, 1920 in Whitesville, WV to the late O.A. and Lelia Honacker Surrett and has lived the past six years in Pickett Co. Mr. Surrett was a retired owner of Miracle Cleaners in Dunbar, WV and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Byrdstown. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Surrett and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Surrett of Monroe; and Mary Susan Haynes and husband Mike of Round Hill, VA; three granddaughters, Regan Serman (Clint), Jessica Erickson (Mike) and Laura Fluhr (Justin); one great-grandson Haynes Serman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Bufford officiating with burial at Beaty Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wendel Flowers, Clois Brown, Jeff Amonett, Clint Serman, Justin Fluhr and Mike Erickson. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Stanley Gilbert Neal
January 12, 1935 - February 4, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Stanley Gilbert Neal, 76, 1455 Cordell Hull Memorial Dr., Byrdstown passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 12, 1935 in Pickett County to the late Virgil Lee and Mary Ella Smith Neal and lived all of his life in Pickett County. He was a retired shirt factory employee and a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Susan Neal; brother, James Neal; grandson, Bobby Davis. Survivors include wife, Barbara Sue Jolly Neal of Byrdstown; two daughters, Ann Manginelli and husband Brian of Cookeville and Jean Savage and husband Chris of Livingston; three sisters, Wanda Leonard of Cookeville and Helen White and Carolyn Cozine of Livingston; six grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Emily and Aaron Davis, Clinton Savage and Kayla Hay; one great-grandchild, Ryan Hay. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Red Hill Church of Christ with Bro. Bruce Mullinex officiating and a friend in Christ J. Will Taylor speaking and burial at Amonett Cemetery. Pallbearers included; Chris and Clinton Savage, Brian Manginelli, Justin, Christopher and Aaron Davis. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Rhonda Martin
February 7, 1962 - January 14, 2011

WOODBURY--Rhonda Lynn (Brady) Martin, 48, of Woodbury, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Martin was born February 7, 1962. She was a school teacher at Woodland Elementary for 25 years. She attended Sunny Hills Baptist Church.
Mrs. Martin is survived by husband, Roger Martin of Woodbury; two sons, Douglas and Austin Martin both of Woodbury; parents, Edward and Wilma Gunter Brady of Jamestown; three sisters, Ruth Myrick of Christiana, Pam Mullinix and her husband Logan of New Albany, OH and Sandy Roberts and husband Larry of Rockvale; brother, James Brady of Madisonville, TN; grandfather, Arthur Brady of Pall Mall; parents-in-law, Roy and Opal Martin of Woodbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. John Jones and Bro. Ray Patrick officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to 1st National Bank or Woodbury Funeral Home for Rhonda’s Children’s College Fund.
Woodbury Funeral Home of Woodbury, Tennessee was in charge of services.
