Bertha M. Conner

MONROE--Bertha M. Conner, 90, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Hospital.
She was born December 17, 1920 in Overton Co. to the late Basley Austin and Mattie Gertrude Taylor Smith. Mrs. Conner was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ at Barnes Ridge. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by: husband, Elmo L.Conner; two brothers, George G. Smith and Danny Detro Smith.
Survivors include four sons, Nello Conner and wife Lula, Lonnie Conner, Junior Conner and wife Sarah, Kenny Conner and wife Peggy all of Monroe; one brother, Bobby Gene Smith of Livingston: four sisters, Elsie Carte of Monroe, Virginia Blanch Ford, Bernice Sue Bryson and Mary Joyce Roop, all of Livingston.
Services were held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Kenny Span officiating and burial at Clark Cemetery.
