Dewey Clyde Abbott
January 14, 1932 - March 31, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Dewey Clyde Abbott, 79, of 253 Ford St., Byrdstown passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Clinton Co. Hospital. He was born January 14, 1932 in Pickett Co. to the late Sherman and Easter Walker Abbott. Mr. Abbott lived all his life in Pickett Co. and was a retired sawmill employee and was a member of the Duvall Valley Baptist Church. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by: one son, Lonnie Abbott; four sisters, Lora Johnson, Betty Garrett, Jewell Dean Walker and Lizzie Wright; four brothers, Howard, Adam, Johnny and Wilburn Abbott.
Survivors include: wife, Chestelean Anderson Abbott of Byrdstown; one son, Jack Abbott & wife Flonnie, Albany, KY; sister, Margaret Hillsborn, Colorado; brother, Marshall Abbott, Byrdstown; three grandchildren, Angie Arnett & husband, John; Brian Abbott & wife, Casey; Chris Abbott & wife, Shelly, and seven great grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tony Bolling and Bro. Howard Buck officiating with burial at Parris-Riley Cemetery. Pallbearers included Brian Abbott, Chris Abbott, Nick Abbott, Bill Hensley, Kenneth Shouse, Mike Williams and John Arnett. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Hartville, OH--Glee Westfall, 79, of Hartville, OH passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born December 9, 1931 in Byrdstown to the late Clarence and Laura Easterly Storie. She was a member of the Ravenna 1st Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed gardening. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Willard, Glen and Hoover Easterley; sister, Jessie Dudley; stepmother, Dora Poore Storie.
Survivors include husband, James Westfall whom she married December 20, 1952; two daughters, Sheila Hampton & husband Gary Eggleston Hampton of Ravenna, OH and Laura Brown & husband Greg of Pall Mall; one brother, Dale Storie of Pall Mall; two sisters, Mae Westfall of Cambridge, OH and Peggy McFarland of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, Benjamin & Anddru Hampton, Sara Kreiger, Eric, Anthony, Brian & Trevor Brown; six great-grandchildren, Hutton, Shelbie and Cecilia Krieger, Jolean and Gracelynn Hampton and McKenzie Brown.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Ravenna 1st Church of the Nazarene with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna, OH. Pallbearers included Benjamin and Anddru Hampton, Sara and Scott Krieger, Eric, Anthony, Brian and Trevor Brown. Special care was provided by Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna, OH.
