John Beldon Garrett
April 7, 1926 - June 24, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--John Beldon Garrett, 85, Pickett Care and Rehab in Byrdstown and former resident of Oak Grove Rd., Monroe, passed away Friday morning June 24, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was born April 7, 1926 in Pickett County to the late Millard and Martha Elizabeth Little Garrett. He lived all his life in Pickett County and was a mechanic, farmer, a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and past member of the Pickett Board of Education.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Wayne Garrett; brother, Bethel Garrett; son-in-law, John Cobble.
Survivors include wife, Stella Grace Byrd Garrett, Monroe; three daughters, Dimple Geesling & husband Larry, Hilham; Darlene Cobble & Gary Nicholas and Elaine Winningham all of Monroe; five grandchildren, Stacy Johnson, Tonia, Crane & Brandon Geesling, Matt Norris and Brooke Stump; nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 27, at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeff Flowers and Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial in Little Cemetery. Pallbearers included Matt Norris, Duel Johnson, Brandon Geesling, Gregg Stump, Danny Garrett and Jerry Paul Flowers. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Robbie C. Wells Hassler
January 26, 1925 - June 20, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Robbie C. Wells Hassler, 86, 1455 Hassler Rd. passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born Jan. 26, 1925 in Pickett County to the late Charles Landry and Mary Bertram Wells. Mrs. Hassler lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a retired postmaster, member of the Lovelady Christian Church and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Dave Hassler; brothers, Robert Eugene "Apple" Wells and Charles Bertram Wells; sister, Margaret Zimmerman.
Survivors included sister, Jessie Baker of Byrdstown. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Louis Davis officiating and burial at Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. Pallbearers included; Francis C. Baker, Robert D. Baker, Steven Wells, David Wells, Guy Zimmerman, Philip Kay, Rex Zimmerman, Robert Wells, Shawn Hassler, Dana Hassler, Jerry McGregor, Tom Zimmerman and Ed Rossi. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Ricky Stockton
February 5, 1956 - June 19, 2011

ALBANY, KY--Mr. Ricky G. Stockton, 55, Albany, Ky., passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.
He was born in Albany, Ky., on Sunday, Feb. 5, 1956 the son of the late Joe B. and Leva Norris Stockton. He was a farmer, a line mechanic at OshKosh and a member of Albany First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Freddie Stockton, Troy Stockton, and Howard Stockton, his sisters, Linda Butler, Rebecca Beaty, and Jeanette Marlow.
He is survived by his children, Leslie Stockton, Derrick (and Sarah) Stockton and their mother, Shirley Stockton, his grandchildren, Bailee Elizabeth Stockton, Rylee Grace Stockton, Braden Adison Stockton and Landon Derrick Stockton all of Albany, his sister, Phyllis (and Bobby) Pryor of Byrdstown; his brothers, Kaye Stockton of Greenfield, IN; Jody (and Patsy) Stockton of Albany, Ky., special aunt, Geneva Bertram, special sister-in-law, Jane Stockton, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on June 22, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown, Bro. Melvin Daniel and Bro. Jeff Bertram officiating. Special music was by Lora Cross, Marguerite Bertram, and the Butler Family. Pallbearers were Tony Bertram, Bobby Pryor, Chris Pryor, Scottie Stockton, David Stockton and Chad Jones. Burial was in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton Co., Ky.
