Gladys Jean Pyles Koger
December 23, 1925 - July 22, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Gladys Jean Pyles Koger, 85 of Pickett Care and Rehab and former resident of Koger Mtn. in Pall Mall, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born Dec. 23, 1925 to the late Charlie and Osha Anderson Pyles in Pickett County and lived all her life in Pickett County. Mrs. Koger was a homemaker and member of the Travisville Methodist Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Robert Koger; son, Doyle Randall Koger; infant son; three sisters, Josie Pyles, Georgia Woods and Hazel Matthews; half brother, Jessie Anderson.
Survivors include; two sons, Paul Koger of Pall Mall and Wendell Koger of Oneida; sister, Lexie Delk of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Darlene Koger, Phillip Koger and Sharon Pano; nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Alan Dixon and Bro. Larry Campbell officiating and burial at Travisville Cemetery. Pallbearers included Kenneth Beaty, Gary Wood, Brandon Koger, Michael Pano, Phillip Koger, Ronnie Koger and Tyler Wood. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
