Mrs. Bessie Stephens
August 30, 1927 - September 11, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Mrs. Bessie Stephens, 84, of Byrdstown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born August 30, 1927 to the late Pierce and Cora Greer Upchurch.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Stephens; son, Samuel Stephens; great-grandchild, Taylor Brooke Manis; two brothers, Oliver (Coolie) Upchurch & Ben Upchurch; seven sisters, Grace Bell, Evelyn Mycamp, Irene Crabtree, Eula Rich, Nova Beaty, Velma Upchurch and Ellen Gillentine. Survivors include, daughter, Charlotte Stover & husband Jerry of Pall Mall; grandchildren, Kristie Manis, Tony Stover & wife Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Kayla & Tyler Manis and Caden & Emma Stover; sister-in-law, Helen Moon. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Amonette officiating and burial at Stephens Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Moon, Marty Owens, Sam Moon, Roger Burton Moon, Richard Upchurch and Roger Moon. Special care proved by Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Mr. Malcolm Douglas Clark, DPH
March 28, 1944 - September 11, 2011

LIVINGSTON--Mr. Malcolm Douglas Clark, DPH, 67, of Livingston passed away Sept. 11, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1944 in Shelby Co., Tn. to the late Dr. Malcolm E. and Lillie Gist Edens Clark. Mr. Clark was a pharmacist, member of Livingston Church of Christ, Livingston Masonic Lodge #2559 Eastern Star, Who's Who Among American Top Pharmacists for several years, Livingston Jaycees, graduated from U.T. Memphis with his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
Survivors include two sons, Malcolm Douglas Clark II, Livingston and Steven R. Clark, Lebanon, Tn.; grandson, James Allen Clark, Cookeville; two sisters, Carolyn Officer & husband John and Elizabeth Mitchell & husband Dicky, all of Livingston; six nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Vaughn officiating. Pallbearers included Mike Elder, Charles Floyd Qualls, Keith Karper, Steven Clark, Malcolm Douglas Clark II, and William Malcolm Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were Clark Mitchell, Joe Coleman, Gerald Willeford, Dicky Mitchell and John Officer. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home in Livingston.

Mrs.Frances Andona Melton Purvis
November 6, 1949 - September 8, 2011

BYRDSTOWN--Mrs. Frances Andona Melton Purvis, 61, 115 Hillcrest Dr., Byrdstown passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 at the Clinton County Hospital in Albany, KY. She was born Nov. 6, 1949 in Glasgow, KY. to the late Mayford and Leona Groce Melton and lived the past few years in Pickett County. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by husband Basil Purvis; two brothers, Roger and Odell Melton.
Survivors include sister, Judy Radford, Albany; two brothers, James Melton, Byrdstown and Thomas Melton, Albany. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Twin Lakes Fellowship Church in Albany with Bro. Donnie Shelley. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
