Charles Duane Clark
BYRDSTOWN--Charles Duane Clark, better known as "Punkin", 77 of Pickett Care and Rehab passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Byrdstown Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1934 in Pickett County to the late William McKinley and Neva Tompkins Clark. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army, a Mason and a truck driver for Bluegrass.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by step-granddaughter Amy Harty Crabtree. Survivors include companion/wife, Ellen Smith Harty of Byrdstown; daughter Theresa Clark Friedmann & husband Frank of Ridgetop, TN; stepson, Michael Harty & wife Bobbie Sue of Carthage, TN; step-grandson, Jason Harty. Also survived by cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 3012 with a Masonic service held at 12 noon by the Byrdstown Masonic Lodge #496. Bro Rick Cross and Bro. Randy Tonmpkins officiated and burial at Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers include Michael Harty, Frank Friedmann, Charles Dyer, Larry Mason, Lonnie Moon and Tommy Koger. Military honors were provided at the graveside by the Hull-York Chapter 5 DAV. Special care provided Brown Funeral Chapel.

April 20, 1944 - March 24, 2012

COOKEVILLE--Richard Earl Kelz, 67, 239 Cora Rd., Cookeville passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at Erlanger Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1944 in Ft. Pierce, Fl. to the late Earl and Margaret Zeigler Kelz. Mr. Kelz was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a Chaplain in the Army. He was an outdoor furniture salesman representative.
Survivors include wife Donna Beaty Kelz, Cookeville; daughter, Rebecca Kelz, Dorset, VT; son, Robert Kelz of Memphis, TN and stepson, Eric Fisk of Woodbury, TN; sister, Joanne Cheek & husband Cecil, St. Pete, FL; father-in-law, Ancel Beaty of Byrdstown; five grandchildren; two nephews, Tom and Mike Cheek; and niece, Jenny Trewin. Also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 with Bro. Joe Wiles and Bro. Jeff Amonett officiating and burial at Mt. Era Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cleveland State Community College baseball team from Cleveland, TN. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
