Cecil Roy Asberry
May 20, 1935 - June 22, 2012

BYRDSTOWN--Cecil Roy Asberry, 77 of 150 Smyrna Rd., Byrdstown passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born May 20, 1935 in Clinton Co., KY to the late Samuel Dillard and Hansom Bilbrey Asberry. Mr. Asberry lived most of his life in Pickett County and was retired from the military serving in the Marines and the Navy.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by half brother Orbin Asberry. Survivors include his wife Gloria Cain Asberry of Byrdstown; two sons, Cecil Roy Asberry, Jr. & wife Darlene of Elizabethtown, KY and Don Ray Asberry & wife Sonya of Mt. Washington, KY; sister, Blanche Bilbrey of Byrdstown; brother, Clinton Zavakos of FL; two grandchildren, Derek Ray and Dalton Bradley Asberry. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating and burial at Peolia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dylon Hill, Nathan Melton, Johnny Lee, J.B. Crawford, Johnny Sells and Gary Logan. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
