Louiza Mullins Masiongale
July 23, 1927 - August 6, 2012

BYRDSTOWN--Louiza Mullins Masiongale, 85, Mullins Rd. passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 23, 1927 in Pickett Co. to the late Johnson and Zannie Bell Flowers Mullins and lived all her life in Pickett Co. Mrs. Masiongale was a factory worker, homemaker and attended Twin Lakes Grace Fellowship Church in Albany.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dester Masiongale; daughter, Linda Alley; daughter-in-law, Christeen Ford Masiongale; three sisters, Virgie Chambers, Vincie Lee and Audra Mae Neal; three brothers, Coy, Virgil and Curtis Mullins.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Shelley & husband Darwin and Brenda Polston & husband Larry all of Byrdstown; two sons, Wayne Masiongale & wife Kay of Byrdstown and Roger Masiongale & wife Vickie of Pall Mall; brother, Hershel Mullins of Byrdstown; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donnie Shelley and Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial at Mullins Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jody Alley, Chris Alley, Daniel Masiongale, Brandon Masiongale, Wade Guffey, Micheal Pierce and Brandon Pierce. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Mike Sells
November 7, 1950 - August 3, 2012

BYRDSTOWN--Troy Michael Sells, better known as Mike, 61, Sells Rd. passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at his residence.
He was born November 7, 1950 in Livingston to the late Ivan Troy "Joe" and Alva Allene Flowers Sells and lived in Byrdstown most of his life. Mr. Sells was an auto body mechanic, served in Korea as artilleryman in C Battery, 5th Battalion, 38th Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division. He was an active founding member of Hull-York DAV serving 2nd term as Senior Vice Commander. Survivors include his wife Shirley May Asberry Sells; two daughters, Angie Pickens & husband Chad and Cristy Beaty, all of Byrdstown; three sister-in-laws, Sue Bertram of Albany and Phyllis Lee of Byrdstown; three grandchildren, Hannah Nicole Beaty, Tyrus Joe Beaty and Jordan Allan Pickens. Also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, DAV brothers, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Randy Penwell officiating and burial at Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were the Hull-York DAV. Honorary Pallbearers were Chad Pickens, Jerry Reagan, Larry Logan and Reed Blair. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
