Willard Dale Masiongale
July 23, 1933 - December 26, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Willard Dale Masiongale, 79 of Pickett Care and Rehab and former resident of West Main St. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Pickett Care and Rehab.
He was born July 23, 1933 in Pickett County to the late William "Will" Andrew and Susie Ellen Pritchard Masiongale. Mr. Masiongale lived most of his life in Pickett County. He was a carpenter, bricklayer and member of the First Baptist Church in Byrdstown and a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by son, Christopher Masiongale; two sisters, Eldean Ford and Stella Stokes; brother, J.L. Masiongale.
Survivors include wife, Charlene Logan Masiongale of Byrdstown; three sisters, Estelle Patton of Nashville, Emogene Stinson of Franklin, Ky. and Sandra Fratto of New Jersey; five brothers, James Oval Masiongale of Carthage, TN., David Masiongale of Marion, IN., Randall Masiongale of Hilham, Eugene Masiongale and Roger Masiongale, both of Pall Mall. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other famliy members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ivan Raley and Bro. Jack Winningham officiating and burial at Pritchard Cemetery. Pallbearers included Jeff Masiongale, Jason Masiongale, Phil Masiongale, Daniel Shaver, Richard Logan and Tom Storie. Honorary pallbearers were Pudge Shaver, Justin Masiongale and Jim Bob Sells. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Stevie "Steve" Kendall Flowers
October 27, 1962 - January 4, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Stevie "Steve" Kendall Flowers, 50 of Smyrna Rd. passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his residence.
He was born October 27, 1962 in Albany, KY. to Osby Roscoe and Emogene Walker Flowers. Mr. Flowers was a past county highway department employee and member of the Red Hill Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his father Osby Roscoe Flowers and brother, Jimmy Flowers.
Survivors include his mother Emogene Flowers; two sisters, Donna Branham and husband Freddy of Byrdstown and Connie Evans and husband Kenny of Pall Mall. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be set at a later date.

Gloria Jean Cain Asberry
August 24, 1933 - January 3, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Gloria Jean Cain Asberry, 79 of Pickett Care and Rehab and a former resident of Smyrna Rd. passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 24, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN to the late George Wesley and Clara McDaniel Cain. Mrs. Asberry was a state employee with the Department of Human Services and lived the past 20 years in Pickett County. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Roy Asberry; sister, Imojean Cain.
Survivors include two stepsons, Cecil Roy Asberry, Jr. and wife Darlene of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Don Ray Asberry and wife, Sonya of Mt. Washington, Ky. Also survived by a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating and burial at Peolia Cemetery. Pallbearers included Jason Parris, Dylan Hill, John Lee, Nathan Melton, Johnny Bilbrey and Tommy Claborn. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Harlan Randolph Cope
January 11, 1936 - January 2, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Harlan Randolph Cope, better known as "Doc", 76 of Red Hill Rd. passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 11, 1936 in Clinton Co., Ky. to the late Stanley Ulyess and Ollie Mae Walker Cope. Mr. Cope was a furniture dealer, retired garment factory employee, a member and deacon of the Red Hill Bible Baptist Church and lived most of his life in Pickett County.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Grady, Noel and William Cope; two grandchildren, Gregory Cope and Jonathan Moon; two great-grandchildren, Miracle and William Smith.
Survivors include wife, Myra Neal Cope of Byrdstown; daughter, Judy Moon and husband David of Pall Mall; two sons, Jimmy Cope and wife Donna and Scott Cope and wife Sharon, all of Byrdstown; two sisters, Letha Easterly and husband Tab of Niceville, FL. and Rita Graham of Albany, Ky; two brothers, Danny "Tucker" Cope and wife Carol of Byrdstown and Printis Cope and wife Barbara of Muncie, IN; eight grandsons, Patrick Cope, Todd Pennycuff, Josh Moon, Paul Cope, Joseph Cope, Brad and James Yates, Jason Neal; five granddaughters, Amy White, Lirisa Smith, Sue Ellen Cope, Brandy Neal and Tisha Smith; seven great-grandsons, Remington White, Tyler and John Smith, Brett White, Alec Cope, Tyler Bohart and Jonathan Smith; 15 great-granddaughters, Makayla and Makenzie Cope, Bailey, Starlynn and Maria White, Breanna Smith, Elin, Maebry, Emery Pennycuff, Hayley Cope, Kayleigh McMahon, Ivy Yates, Keligh Bohart, Jordan and Jade Smith; sister-in-laws, Carolyn and Wilda Cope; special niece, Patsy Eperson; special friend, Cricket. Survived by other family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, 2012 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Austin Flowers, Bro. Howard Buck and grandson, Patrick Cope speaking and burial at Amonett Cemetery. Pallbearers included, Todd Pennycuff, Josh Moon, Joseph Cope, Tyler and John Smith, Brad and James Yates. Honorary pallbearers were Remington White and Alec Cope. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
