Vina Smith Neal
November 13, 1937 - March 5, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Vina Smith Neal, 75, Moles Lane, Byrdstown passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 13, 1937 in Pickett County to the late Burley "Burr" and Rachel Byrd Smith. She was a retired garment factory employee, homemaker and attended the Love and Grace Full Gospel Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Roger Riddle; four sisters, Marie Mullins, Nina Stinson, Elsie Smith and Ileta Davidson; three brothers, Ernest, Clarence and Ted Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan Neal of Byrdstown; three daughters, Gail Riddle of Albany, Vicki Sims and husband Mike of Sparta; and Pam Riddle and husband Ricky of Albany; son, Jeff Neal of Nashville, TN; brother, Delmer Smith of English, IN; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; special nephew, Cowboy Davidson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 8, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Rexroat and Bro. Ivan Raley officiating and burial Mullins Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Riddle, Josh Riddle, Michael Riddle, Justin Riddle, Brandon Sims and Dale Wallace. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Robert L. Davidson
April 20, 1935 - March 3, 2013

NASHVILLE--Robert L. Davidson, 77, died Sunday March 3rd at his home in Nashville, TN, surrounded by his loving family.
On April 20, 1935, Robert was born in Pickett County. He was the eldest child of Joseph and Oleta Davidson, who precede him in death. At 17, Robert graduated high school and attended Tennessee Tech University, where he graduated at the age of 20 with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Robert moved to Nashville and began his business career, which included nearly 30 years at Cummings Sign Company. At the age of 26 he met and married 19- year- old Nashville native Joyce Suits. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage. Robert was a dedicated husband and father. While working diligently to support his family, he always managed to attend his son’s and daughter’s many sport and school activities. Robert loved to watch ballgames, play with his dog, and spend quality time with his two granddaughters and grandson. He always will be remembered for “making a long story short.”
Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce Davidson; son, Terry Davidson; daughter, Pam (Kyle) Anderson; grandchildren, Terra Davidson, Jessica Anderson, and Gary Anderson; brother, Bill (Phyllis) Davidson; nephew, Jeff Davidson; niece, Leigh Ann Ray.
The Life Celebration service was held Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 1 p.m., at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Reverend Clifford Dobbs officiating. Interment was Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Sims Cemetery, in Pickett County. Ruth Rich Boody
March 28, 1922 - February 28, 2013

HUNTSVILLE, AL--Ruth Rich Boody, 90, Kingsway Rd., Huntsville, AL. and formerly of Pickett County passed away February 28, 2013 at her residence.
She was born March 28, 1922 in Faix, TN. to the late William McKinley and Ada Riley Rich. Mrs. Boody graduated from PCHS as salutatorian of her class, graduated from TTU and received a Master's Degree from UAH. She taught second grade and learning disabilities at Weatherly Heights Elementary School and retired from Huntsville City Schools as a Special Education Coordinator. Mrs. Boody was a volunteer at Burritt Museum and a member of the First Christian Church in Huntsville, AL.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick P. Boody and son Frederick P. Boody, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Chapman and husband George of Bellevue, WA. and Betsy Gunn and husband Jim of Huntsville, AL; son, Drew Boody and wife Holly Hansen of Gurley, AL; daughter-in-law, Lilo Siegel of Germany; two sisters, Polly Lyday of Knoxville and Evelyn Robbins of Gainesville, FL; six grandchildren, Andrew Gunn, Peter Chapman and wife Megan, Adam Hansen, Noah Hansen, Becky Chapman, Laura Chapman Schairer and husband David; great-grandson, Frederick Carroll Chapman; special friend, Patsy Doty.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Sam Garrett Cemetery with Bro. John Stone officiating. Pallbearers included Jim Gunn, George Chapman, David Schairer, Drew Boody and Richard Lyday.
