Ollie Maxine Walker
July 13, 1922 - March 17, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Ollie Maxine Walker, 90, Pickett Care and Rehab passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born July 13, 1922 in Pickett County to the late Wiley Capp and Lela Olma Zachary Walker. Ms. Walker was a homemaker and lived all her life in Byrdstown. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Jack Walker. Survivors include three nephews, Hobert and Clay Walker of Pall Mall and David Walker of Cookeville. Also survived by great nieces and great nephews, other family members and friends. The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be set at a later date. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Joyce Parris Hassler
December 13, 1938 - March 15, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Joyce Parris Hassler, 74, Lovelady Rd., Byrdstown passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1938 in Byrdstown to the late Joel and Allie Sewell Parris and lived most her life in Pickett County. Mrs. Hassler was a retired employee with the City of Byrdstown Water Department and was a member of the Lovelady Christian Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ward Hassler; two sisters, Louise Barnett and JoAnn Parris.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Garrett and husband Steve, Byrdstown and Jamie Harris and husband Stephen; also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Louis Davis officiating and burial at Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. Pallbearers were Merle Nottingham, John Capps, Frank Capps, Butch Smith, Kelvin Beaty and Hack Beaty. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Janet Sue Claborn Koger
April 3, 1950 - March 10, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Janet Sue Claborn Koger, 62, North Lick Creek Rd., Byrdstown passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her sister's home in Byrdstown.
She was born April 3, 1950 in Clinton Co. to the late Claude and Mary Garrett Claborn and lived most of her life in Pickett County. Mrs. Koger was a factory worker, post office employee, homemaker and attended the Maupin United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by husband Fred Koger; sister Wilam Gaye Claborn; three brothers, Cecil, Marvin and Ronnie Claborn; grandchild Gracelynn King.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Copeland and husband Bryan of Byrdstown and Kim Moss and husband Rick of Cookeville; sister, Martha Louise Cope, Byrdstown; four grandchildren, Dalton and Lexie Johnson, Slayde Copeland and Holden Masiongale. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 2013 at Maupin United Methodist Church with Bro. Rodney Koger officiating and burial at Maupin Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Claborn, Robin Cummings, Danny Richardson, Craig Richardson, Brandon Koger and Johnny Bilbrey. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
