Amma Bernis Storie Brown

BYRDSTOWN--Amma Bernis Storie Brown, 85 of 3398 Mt. Union Rd., Byrdstown passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born October 28, 1927 in Pickett Co. to the late Roy Bransford and Sarah Pritchard Storie. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a Charter Member of the Calvary Bible Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded death by her husband, Theo Brown; three sisters, Emma Clark, Duell Reagan and Madell Alvey; three brothers, Estil, Baxter and Havis Storie; half-sister, Ada Bilbrey.
Survivors include daughter, Louann Maxwell and husband Billy, Jr. of Hilham, TN; son, Larry Brown and fiance Cyndi Crady of Byrdstown; sister, Lola Cross and brother, Hivus Storie of Byrdstown; three grandchildren, James Brown and fiance Erica Stockton, Jolinda Pryor and husband Pat and Justin Maxwell; two great-grandchildren, Maria and Victoria Pryor; special caregivers, Katie Graham and Mary Frances White. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 14, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Travis Simpson and Bro. Arnold Moon officiating and burial at Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Dale Garrett, Luke Garrett, Bill Storie, Bob Storie, Johnny Sells and Brandon Suiter. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
Allen Ashley Smith

MONTEREY--Allen Ashley Smith, 36, East Cleveland Ave, Monterey and formerly of Pickett Co. passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home. He was born July 7, 1976 in Lady Ann Hospital in Livingston, and grew up and lived in Byrdstown until after high school and then lived in Monterey since 1995.
Mr. Smith was a welder and worked in mechanical maintenance. He was a previous employee as a welder and metal fabricator at Carwile Heating & Cooling Inc., Cookeville and most recently employed at Hutchison's Manufacturing, Livingston.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ottie and Beulah Ellison; paternal grandfather, John G. Smith; Uncle Jimmy Copeland; special Aunt Etta Mae Sims.
Survivors include two daughters, Ashlyn Brooke Smith and Ainslee Neely and son, Aidan James Smith all of Monterey, TN; mother and step-father, Donna and Steve Romines: father, John G. Smith, Jr.; mother of his children, Amy Swallows of Monterey; one brother, Jason Michael Stockton and wife Marie of Cookeville; step-sister, Stephanie Keesling of Monterey; paternal grandmother, Betty Sue Smith of Livingston; two nieces and two nephews. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and special friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating and burial in Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. Pallbearers included Jeff Rich, Nicky Rich, Jason Stockton, Mike Anderson, Derek Romines and Russell Kennedy. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

BYRDSTOWN--Virginia Lucille Taylor, better known as Jenny, 83 of Pickett Care and Rehab passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born July 9, 1929 in Pickett Co. to the late Dewey and Edith Cope Taylor. Ms. Taylor was a retired Licensed LPN, a member of the Smyrna Church and lived the past 30 years in Pickett Co.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Taylor and Elwanda Meyer; two brothers, Herman and Jerry Taylor; sister-in-law, Judith Taylor; brother-in-law, Lonnie Howell.
Survivors include two sisters, Ann Norrod and husband Cecil of Glasgow, KY and Sue Howell of Sparta; four brothers, Gilbert Taylor of Byrdstown, Carl Taylor and wife of Maysville, KY., Don Taylor and wife Elaine of Austell, GA., and Edmond Taylor and wife Nancy of Burkesville, KY; two sister-in-laws, Reba Taylor of Byrdstown and June Taylor of Shelbyville, TN. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Smyrna Church with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating and burial at Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers included Danny Norrod, Charles Meyer, Steve Williams, Andrew Howard, Jimmy Cope, Todd Taylor and Tommy Sloan. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
