Alma Jean Kennedy
March 31, 1943 - July 13, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Funeral services for Alma Jean Kennedy, 70, of Byrdstown were conducted Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Floyd officiated and interment followed in the Welch Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Kennedy was born March 31, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Irene Wright Dever of Illinois, and the late Alfred Buck Dever. Mrs. Kennedy passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker. In addition to her mother, she was survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Laura And Jeff Neal of Byrdstown; Julie Connor of Jamestown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis And Patty Kennedy of Monterey, TN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Opha and Bill Beeman of Indiana, Susie Magee of Indiana, Linda and Todd McIntyre of Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Amos And Georgia Carmichael of Indiana. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel D. Kennedy; daughter, Terri Dever; son, Larry Dever; and step father, Herman Carmichael.
The family received friends at Goff Funeral Home Saturday, July 13, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Bernice King Moon
July 13, 1944 - July 30, 2012

MESA, AZ--Bernice King Moon of Mesa, Arizona formerly of Pickett County passed away July 30, 2012. Bernice was born on July 13, 1944 to Hershel and Duell King. Bernice is a member of Etter Baptist Church, Byrdstown.
She is survived by her devoted companion, Richard “Butch” McFall, Mesa, AZ; son, Toby L. Moon of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson Spencer Moon of Albuquerque, NM; and sister, Evelyn King Cummings of Byrdstown; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Bernice was preceded in death of her husband, Tommy Moon, mother, Duell Storie King Reagan, father, Hershel King, infant sisters, Phyllis and Helen King.
Bernice has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Moodyville Missionary Baptist Church, 2999 Moodyville Road, Byrdstown. Visitation will begin at 12:00 and services at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Mt. Era Cemetery.
