Jamie Marie Taylor
November 18, 1957 - June 24, 2013


BYRDSTOWN--Jamie Marie Taylor, 55 of the Travisville Community passed away at her home and went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 18, 1957 in Peoria, Ill. to the late Otis and Marie Hardwick Taylor. Ms. Taylor was a homemaker and restaurant worker. She loved children and animals, also enjoyed gardening and motorcycling. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie and sister, Lois.
Survivors include her companion, Ron Erwin of Travisville; two daughters, Penni Elaine Pierce and companion, Linda of Texas and Sgt. Lora Beth Taylor of Nashville; two brothers, Chuck Taylor and wife Velta and Herschel Taylor, all of Il.; two sisters, Carol Dishman and husband Jay and Judy Hicks and husband Willy, all of Monticello, Ky. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Travisville Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements provided by Jennings Funeral Home, Jamestown, TN.

Bernice King Moon
July 13, 1944 - July 30, 2012

MESA, AZ--Bernice King Moon of Mesa, Arizona formerly of Pickett County passed away July 30, 2012. Bernice was born on July 13, 1944 to Hershel and Duell King. Bernice is a member of Etter Baptist Church, Byrdstown.

She is survived by her devoted companion, Richard “Butch” McFall, Mesa, AZ; son, Toby L. Moon of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson Spencer Moon of Albuquerque, NM; and sister, Evelyn King Cummings of Byrdstown; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Bernice was preceded in death of her husband, Tommy Moon, mother, Duell Storie King Reagan, father, Hershel King, infant sisters, Phyllis and Helen King.

Bernice has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Moodyville Missionary Baptist Church, 2999 Moodyville Road, Byrdstown.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 and services at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Mt. Era Cemetery.
