Mary Loyce Elder Sells
April 8, 1927 - August 9, 2013

COOKEVILLE--Mary Loyce Elder Sells, 86, North Ferguson, Cookeville, TN. passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 8, 1927 in Pickett County to the late Porter and Claudia Dulaney Elder. Mrs. Sells was retired, a member of the Lovelady Christian Church and also attended the First Christian Church in Byrdstown. She lived most of her life in Pickett Co. and in the Lovelady community.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Howard Sells; son Troy Sells; two brothers, Howard and Frank Elder; sister Marle Whitlow; granddaughter Mary Ann Sells.
Survivors include son, Tony Sells and wife Rebecca of Cookeville; sister Nina Lee Asberry of Allardt; two grandchildren, Pat Sells and wife Terri; Brad Sells and wife Michelle; six great-grandchildren, Hailee, Jade, Vada, Emma, Trey and Koen. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorial services were held Monday, August 12, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lovelady Cemetery Fund, The Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Johnny Melvin Logan
January 17, 1959 - August 4, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Johnny Melvin Logan, 54 of Pine St., Byrdstown passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was born January 17, 1959 in Albany, KY. to Russell Logan and Nellie Logan. Mr. Logan was a member of the Byrdstown Masonic Lodge #496, the past owner of Logan Heating and Cooling, past Pickett Co. Deputy Sheriff and a entrepreneur. He lived most of his life in Louisville, KY. and Byrdstown.
Mr. Logan is preceded in death by his brother Scott Logan.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela White of Jeffersonville, IN; mother Nellie Logan and father Russell Logan both of Byrdstown; four sisters, Nancy Moon and husband Danny, Connie Board, Karen Logan, all of Byrdstown and Jeanne Lee of Monroe; three brothers Charlie Logan, Gary Logan and Steve Logan, all of Byrdstown; two grandchildren, Amelia and Lailah. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 9, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial at Bond Cemetery. Pallbearers were James, Matt and John Moon, A.C. Bilbrey, Ronald Beaty, Bill Kenny and James Sowders. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Lynn Kinchen, Laverne Storie and Robert Bond. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Linda Sue Beaty York
August 30, 1945 - August 3, 2013

BYRDSTOWN--Linda Sue Beaty York, 67, Pendergrass Dr., Byrdstown passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born August 30, 1945 in Jamestown, TN. to the late Adam and Lula Key Beaty. Mrs. York was a retired garment factory employee, a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ and lived most of her life in Pickett Co. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Lois Johnson and Doris Dunford; two brothers, Sonny and Kenny Beaty.
Survivors include her husband, William Ben York of Byrdstown; daughter Melinda VanMeter and husband Joe of Bradyville, TN; son Robby York and wife Michelle of Duncan, OK; four sisters, Betty Jean Pritchard of Dayton, OH., Bonnie Claborn of Cambridge, IN., Jane Duvall and Connie Duvall both of Bloomington, IN; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy York officiating and burial at Red Hill Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Duvall, Bob Duvall, Shane York, Jared Mullins, David Key, Matthew Beaty and Eddie Claborn. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Dale Crisp
September 20, 1937 - July 22, 2013

GOLCONDA, IL--Dale Crisp, 75, of rural Golconda, IL passed away July 22, 2013 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
He was born Sept. 20, 1937 in Byrdstown to Ogle and Pauline (Huddleston) Crisp. Dale was a member of Gospel Mission Tabernacle in Golconda. Dale was retired from farming and farm equipment sales. He enjoyed the Golconda Farmer’s Market.
Dale is survived by four sons, Dale Crisp II of Fort Branch, IN, Matt Crisp of Mt. Carmel, IN, Mark Crisp of Warsaw, IN, Dakota Crisp of Golconda, IL; two daughters, Gale Valle of Houston, TX, Cindy Wilkens of Vincennes, IN; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Carlin “Bud” Crisp, and Andrew “AW” Crisp.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL. Graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Williams Chapel Cemetery in Byrdstown.
