Velma B. Rich Storie
May 28, 1927 - November 29, 2013

KNOXVILLE--Velma B. Rich Storie, 86, Woodsprings Dr., Knoxville, TN. passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born May 28, 1927 in Pickett Co. to the late Willie and Elizabeth Clark Rich and lived most of her life in Pickett Co. Mrs. Storie was a member of the Westpark Baptist Church in Knoxville, retired hospital employee, factory worker and homemaker.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by son, Osval Storie; sister, Wanda Tompkins; four brothers, Newell, Eugene, (twin brother) Bethel, and Robert Rich.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Neel (Jim), Joan Amonett (Michael) and Katy Placke (J.E.); eight grandchildren, Billy Groce, Stevin Amonett, Evan Amonett, Alan Placke, Allison Gregg, Beth Bachaus, Melinda Storie and Chip Storie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating and burial at Clark Cemetery. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Patricia Ann Long Stone
December 13, 1955 - November 27, 2013

BOWLING GREEN, KY--Patricia Ann Long Stone was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1955, the daughter of Hoy and Hazel Wingfield Long, she passed from this life Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at her residence in Memphis. She was of Methodist faith, a 1975 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and a 1977 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was an English teacher in the Memphis City School System from 1985 until 2012 and also held teaching positions in Virginia and Florida. She was honored in the Who’s Who of Tennessee Teachers in 1991 and the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 2000 and 2005. Patricia led a full life, one of travel, experiences and friendships. She visited many different countries, climbed mountains, and skydived, all to see the glory the world held. She loved teaching, basketball, her family traditions, and being around her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John Stone, whom she married Saturday, Dec. 9, 1978.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John II and Elizabeth Stone of Byrdstown, her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Stone Campbell and Justin Campbell of Milledgeville, Tennessee, grandchildren, Gregory Stone, Taylor Stone, Avery Stone, Brody Stone, Jaycee Madison Campbell, Jesson Gary Campbell and Jaina Benton Campbell and her two beloved dogs, Kingsfield and Buckshot, both whom have been adopted into the Campbell family.
Funeral services for Patricia Long Stone were held on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Rev. John Stone II officiating and a eulogy was shared by her daughter, Jennifer Stone Campbell. The family would appreciate contributions to be directed to St. Jude Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee 38111.
