BYRDSTOWN--Dimple Valley Mullins, 85, Lovelady Rd. Byrdstown passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at her residence. She was born Dec. 29, 1927 in Moodyville, TN. to the late Leslie Moody and Wonnie Lee Crouch Moody.
Mrs. Mullins was a member of the First Baptist Church and also a member of the Gideons Auxillary, a homemaker, mother and former school teacher and lived all her life in Pickett Co. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by daughter, Martha Ann Mullins; and stepfather Keen Gunter.
Survivors include husband Bob Mullins of Byrdstown; daughter, Joy Shewmake and husband Jackie of Mt. Juliet, TN; son, John Mullins and wife Cathy of Byrdstown; three grandchildren, Lori McClain and husband Shawn, Larae Beaty and husband Ron and Jessica Walpole and husband William; two great-grandchildren, Valley Beaty and Mallori McClain. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Carr, Bro. Ivan Raley and Bro. Charles Gibbs officiating and burial at Beaty Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shawn McClain, Ron Beaty, Bruce Ledford, Kendle Davidson, Tim Cook, Ron Stienhour, Doug Scroggins and Jerry Green. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
