Jarred Lonzie “Jay” Storie
July 17, 1925 - September 3, 2008

PALL MALL -- Jarred Lonzie “Jay” Storie, 83, Pall Mall, passed away Sept. 3, 2008 at his residence. He was a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, and a former Pickett County Road Supervisor.
He was born July 17, 1925 in Fentress County, the son of Carlos and Ruby (Reed) Storie. He lived most of his life in Pickett County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Frona Storie; two brothers Darwin and Warren Storie.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Katy Placke and husband, Joseph, Somerset, Ky.; Judy Neel and husband, Jim, Knoxville; Joan Amonett and husband Michael, Knoxville; son, Osval Storie and wife, Rosemary, Bow, Ky.; sister, Lois Gunter, Cincinnati, Oh.; half sister, Georgia Wright, Cincinnati, Oh.; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was at Reed Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chip, Nelson, Lavern, Larry and Kendall Storie and Alan Placke. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.

Clara Dale (Moles) Coleman
September 14, 1951 - August 29, 2008

BYRDSTOWN -- Clara Dale (Moles) Coleman, 56, 1024 Beason Rd., Byrdstown, passed away Aug. 29, 2008 at her residence. She was born Sept. 14, 1951 in Overton County the daughter of Clinton Edison Moles and Mildred Lucille (Dulaney) Moles. She lived all of her life in Pickett County and was self employed with Lucille’s Wholesale Candy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Shirley Dewayne Moles.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Treva Lucille Tallent and Kristi Irene Wright, both of Byrdstown; two sons, Ricky Dale Coleman, Albany, Ky.; Jason Randall Coleman, Byrdstown; goddaughter, Patricia Mae Jones, Jamestown; three sisters, Dorothy Gibson, San Diego, Ca.; Darlene Moles, Livingston; Debbie Holsapple, Albany, Ky.; three brothers, Doyle Moles and Clinton Moses Moles, both of Cookeville; David Moles, Albany, Ky.; father of her children, Randall Coleman, Byrdstown; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Stearns officiating. Burial was at Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Adam Parris, Jacob ford, Chad Pickens, Tim and Ronnie Coleman and Matt Ford. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.

Eudean Hopkins Martin
May 16, 1917 - August 28, 2008


COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Eudean Hopkins Martin, 91, of Cookeville were held Aug. 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
She passed away Aug. 26, 2008 at Masters Health Care Center.
She was born May 16, 1917 in Pickett County, the daughter of the late Benton and Grace Bilbrey Hopkins. She was of the Protestant Faith, worked as a sales clerk at Nichols Jewelry for many years and was a long time volunteer with the Auxiliary at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie D. Martin.
Survivors include several great nieces and nephews.
Interment followed the funeral services at Maupin Cemetery in Albany, Ky. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
