Fonza Ellen Poor Beaty
September 24, 1917 - February 21, 2014

PALL MALL--Fonza Ellen Poor Beaty, 96 of Possum Trot Rd. Pall Mall passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at her residence. She was born Sept. 24, 1917 in Pickett Co. to the late William Levi "Spike Bill" and Mary Alice Huddleston Poor.
Mrs. Beaty lived all her life in Fentress and Pickett Counties. She was a homemaker and a member of the Travisville Methodist Church. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Beaty; son, Doyle Beaty; three sisters, Helen Poor, Wonnie Williams and Nova Beaty; four brothers, Edd, Travis, Willie and Ray Poor.
Survivors include three daughters, Lyllis Byrd and husband Danny, Phyllis Roysden and husband Charlie and Cheryl Beaty; son, Larry Beaty and wife Odesia, all of Pall Mall; daughter-in-law, Carol Beaty of LaVergne, TN; three grandchildren, Jamie Evans and husband Jody, Tracy Smith and husband Brad and Kim Pugh and husband Matt; five great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brady Evans, Lyza and Owen Smith and Evann Knotts; special niece Hazel Crawford. Known as Granny Beaty to so many more.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Alan Dixon, Sister Billie Allen and Bro. Kenneth Clayton officiating and burial at Williams Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenny "Bear" Beaty, Jack Poor, Wayne Poor, Jody Evans, Brad Smith, Matt Pugh, Tommy Beaty, Tony Beaty and Teddy Russell. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Elwanda "Wanda" V. Storie Cooper
October 5, 1922 - February 20, 2014

MUNCIE, IN--Elwanda "Wanda" V. Storie Cooper, 91 of Muncie, IN. passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Moodyville to the late Herman and Pearl Amonett Storie. Mrs. Cooper attended school in Byrdstown, retired from American Lawn Mower Co. after 28 years of service and was a member of Middletown Church of the Nazarene.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her grandson, Brett Campbell; son-in-law, Ray Wallace; sister, Joan Storie; special friend, Charles Keele. Survivors include four loving daughters, Brenda Wallace of Muncie, IN., Linda Burke and husband Terry of Yorktown, Judy Coffey and husband Bravil and Debbie Leicht and husband Steve all of Muncie; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Campbell, Gale Campbell and wife Tonja, Joey Campbell and Michelle Harmon and husband Mike, Kim Buck and fiance Derek Glaze, Terry Coffey and wife Karen, Amanda Russell and husband Bobby and Melissa Robbins and husband Rob; 13 great-grandchildren, three nephews and brother-in-law, Charlie Storie.
Funeral services to celebrate Wanda's life were held Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor David Whitteberry and Pastor Jeff Veatch officiating and burial at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family has requested donations be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Dr., Indianapolis, IN. 46202. Arrangements provided by Parson Mortuary.

David Dron Dowdy
March 6, 1965 - February 16, 2014

BYRDSTOWN--David Dron Dowdy, 48 of Greenbrier Rd., Byrdstown passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at the Clinton Co. Hospital in Albany. He was born March 7, 1965 in Albany, KY. to Hershel and Ora Zachary Dowdy. Mr. Dowdy was a industrial engineer, a member of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Byrdstown and lived most of his life in Pickett Co. He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Dowdy; brother, Kirby Dowdy; grandparents, Shirdy and Mary Dowdy, Banlow and Emma Zachary.
Survivors include his son, Dylan Dowdy; mother of his child, Pamela Benson Dowdy; two step-children, Alisha and Zachary Simmons, all of Cookeville; mother, Ora Dowdy; sister, Ann Reagon and husband Lonza; two brothers, Danny Dowdy and wife Pauletta, all of Byrdstown and Howard Dowdy of Livingston; sister-in-law, Tammy Martin and husband Teddy of Byrdstown; long time caregiver, Belinda Davis; special friend April McGinnis. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Andy Cope and Bro. David Stewart officiating and burial at Edgefield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael, Mark, Jordan, Lathaniel and Andrew Reagon, Cody Dowdy, Michael and Ronnie Zachary. Honorary pallbearers were Merle Reagon, Chris Dowdy, James Amos Martin, Larry Dowdy, Calvin Stearns and Larry Zachary. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.

Alta H. Davidson
July 10, 1922 - February 3, 2014

COCONUT CREEK, FL--Alta H. Davidson, 91, Coconut Creek, FL and formerly of Muncie, IN. passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at North Broward Medical Center, Deerfield Beach, FL.
She was born July 10, 1922 in Byrdstown, to the late Joe and Martha Ellen Pierce Ferrell. Mrs. Davidson was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Davidson.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jean Puls and husband Alan of Lutz, FL. and Dolores Jones and husband Keith of West Palm Beach, FL; son, Dennis Wayne Davidson of Lynnville, TN; one brother, Charles Ferrell and wife Ruth of Byrdstown; sister, Brenda Smith of Byrdstown. Also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Garden View Funeral Home with Collins Glenn officiating and burial at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
