Bessie Cambra (Cook) Presley

BYRDSTOWN--Bessie Cambra (Cook) Presley, 91, of Pickett Care & Rehab, Byrdstown, passed away Sept. 17, 2008 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired shirt factory employee.
She was born April 26, 1917 in Little Crab, Tn. the daughter of Crosier and Nora (Reagan) Cook. She lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a member of the Byrdstown First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Presley; two brothers, Owensby and Jack Cook.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Shirley Rich and husband, Odell, Byrdstown; Abbie Cross and husband, Jimmy, Hartford City, In.; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeff Amonett and Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was at Story Cemetery. Pallbearers were: John Scott, Jimmy Cross Jr., Hollis, Barry and Brian Smith, and Anthony Rich. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.

Linda (Cope) Collins

BYRDSTOWN--Linda (Cope) Collins, 62, 1398 Beason Rd., Byrdstown, passed away Sept. 16, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housekeeper.
She was born Aug. 30, 1946 in Pickett County, the daughter of Leo and Flo (Crouch) Cope. She lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Diane MIchelle Harmon, Byrdstown; sister, Leah Juanita Evans, Byrdstown; three grandchildren: Christian, Sam and John Harmon, Byrdstown.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 18 with Bro. Bruce Mullinix officiating. Burial followed at Story Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Travis Rains, Carl Evans, Archie Boykin, David Cope, Stacy Evans and Ronnie Bandy.
Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.
