Gilbert Roland Cogbill
March 17, 1959 - December 28, 2008

COOKEVILLE--Mr. Gilbert Roland Cogbill, 49, of Cookeville passed away Sunday, December 28th, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Cogbill was born in Star City, AR on March 17, 1959, the son of Bill Cogbill and Fontella (Moore) Cogbill. His family moved to Byrdstown in 1970 and he graduated from Pickett County High School in 1977. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a SSG receiving the Good Conduct Medal. He served in Lackland AFB in Texas, Great Falls, Montana and Bitburg, Germany from 1977-1981. He most recently worked with Flexial Corp as a micro welder. Mr. Cogbill was a devoted and loving husband, son and father.
Mr. Cogbill is survived by wife, Paula Cogbill of Cookeville; daughters Heather Banks of Florida and her children Chris, Kayle, Mike and Krista; Shelly Lonon and her children Corey and Cameron; mother Fontella Storie of Byrdstown; father Bill Cogbill and wife Mickie of Glasgow, KY; grandmother Olean Cogbill of Pine Bluff, AR; brothers Bruce Cogbill and wife Barbara of Monticello, KY; Paul Cogbill and wife Frannie of Monroe.
Mr. Cogbill is also survived by nieces and nephews Daniel, Cassandra, Maranda, Elijah, April, Chloe and Scottie.
Mr. Cogbill was preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence Cogbill, Rev. R.M. Moore and Hazel Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 31st at Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Brother John Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Era Cemetery in Byrdstown with full military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. Please visit Mr. Cogbill's website at www.mem.com and send a message to the family.

Atha Ona (Moles) Bond
June 3, 1912 - December 25, 2008

LIVINGSTON--Atha Ona (Moles) Bond, 96, Overton County Nursing Home, Livingston, passed away Dec. 25, 2008 at the nursing home. She was a factory employee and a homemaker.
She was born June 3, 1912 in Pickett County the daughter of John Milton Moles and Anna (Walker) Moles. She lived most of her life in Pickett County and was a former member of Mt. Union Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hillery Bond; two sons, Clinton Wayne Bond and Quincy Bond; daughter, Cindy Irene Gibson; four brothers, Clayton, Edison, Benton and Don Moles; sister, Mary Ann Clark.
Surviving relatives include son, Junior Bond and wife, June, Byrdstown; two sisters, Opha Cummings and Elsie Stephens, both of Byrdstown; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cross officiating. Burial was at Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jack, Bill and Gary Cummings, Charlie Logan, David Gibson and Darryl Bond. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
