Willard Clinton Delk
May 13, 1940 - January 10, 2009

BYRDSTOWN--Willard Clinton Delk (better known as Curly),
68, 115 Hillcrest Drive Apt. #20, Byrdstown, passed away Saturday,
January 10, 2009 at the University Medical Center,
Lebanon, Tn. He was a factory employee.
He was born May 13, 1940 in Jamestown, the son of Dennie
Delk and Jessie Pearl (Patton) Delk. He lived most of his life in
Pickett County and was a member of the Byrdstown First Baptist
Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Lynn
Delk; three brothers, David, Eugene and Jerry Delk.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Melissa Rhule and
husband, Larry, Byrdstown; son, Willard Delk and wife, Sonya,
Byrdstown; two sisters, Helen Dowd and Ida Mae Brant, both
of Muncie, In.; granddaughter, Elisabeth Delk, Byrdstown; special
friend, Wanda Sue Whittenburg, Byrdstown; nieces,
nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Jan. 13, 2009 at 1 p.m. from
Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jack Winningham officiating.
Burial was at Upchurch Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Richard
Winningham, Bryan Rhule, Johnny Cook, David Pritchett, Joey
Rhule, Mark Allred and Joseph Reagan. Special care was provided
by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
