Johnny Charles "Jack" Rich

BYRDSTOWN--Johnny
Charles “Jack” Rich, 76, 2041
Reeder Town Rd., Byrdstown,
passed away April 24, 2009 at
his residence. He was a
sawmill emplooyee.
He was born April 23, 1933
in Pickett County, the son of
Alonzo Lafayette Rich and
Odie M. (Riley) Rich. He lived
most of his
life in Pickett
County and
was a member
of the
Byrdstown
First Christian
Church
and was also
a veteran.
He was
preceded in death by his parents,
a son, Johnny Ray Rich;
brother, Paul Rich and great
niece, Shayna Perry.
Surviving relatives include
special niece, Paul Hensley
and her family, Livingston;
three sisters, Dorthena Price,
Muncie, In.; Elladean Tompkins
and Carolyn Crabtree,
both of Byrdstown; two brothers,
Morris Rich and Odell
Rich, both of Byrdstown; numerous
nieces, nephews, biological
daughter, other family
members and friends.
Funeral services were held
April 26, 2009 at 3 p.m. at
Brown Funeral Chapel with
Bro. Randy Tompkins. Burial
was at Story Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Jeff Tompkins,
Chris Crawford, Bill Russell,
Jeff Davis, Tony Rich and Bill
Buck. Honorary pallbearers
were Derek and R.D. Perry
and Corey Buck. Special care
was provided by Brown Funeral
Chapel of Byrdstown.
