passed away May 8, 2009 at
the center. He was a barber.
He was born April 12, 1966
in Overton County, the son of
Orbin and Colleen (Crouch)
Logan. He
was a veteran
that
served in the
Army.
He was
preceded in
death by his
grandparents
Gideon
and Arza
Crouch, Webb and Anna Mae
Logan.
Surviving relatives include
his parents; sister, Margaret
Copeland, Byrdstown;
brother, Richard Logan and
wife Tammie, Cookeville; four
aunts, Eva Sue Barton, Pall
Mall; Shelba Shaver, Charlene
Masiongale and Janice
Sells, all of Byrdstown; uncles,
Harold Logan, Byrdstown,
Jeff Crouch,
Cookeville; niece, Kaitlin
Logan, Cookeville; nephew

Funeral services were held
May 10 at 2 p.m. from Brown
Funeral Chapel with Bro.
Terry Crabtree, Bro. Wade
Givens and Bro. Greg Perlongo
officiated. Burial was at
Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers
were: Richard Logan, Jeremiah
Copeland, Tyler and
Jeff Crouch, Pudge and
Daniel Shaver and Jim Bob

passed away May 7, 2009 at
Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was a truck driver.
He was born Jan. 17, 1962
in Overton County, the son of
Jackie “Jack” Ray West and
Nancy Orene (Garrett) West.
He lived all of his life in Pickett
County and was a veteran
serving in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death
by his parents Jackie Ray and
Nancy Garrett West and sister,
Debbie West Huddleston.
Surviving relatives include
daughters Heather and
Megan West, Cookeville;
three nieces Jessica Lapeer
and husband Scott; Jeanna
Cobb and husband Greg, both
of Pall Mall; Jana Freels and
husband Aaron, Sunbright,

May 9 at 10 a.m. from
Smyrna Cemetery in Byrdstown
with Bro. Alan Dixon

Clark and Joey Cook.

Nashville, passed away May
5, 2009 at his residence.
He was a retired Senior
Marketing Representative
with Auto Owner Insurance
Co. with 43 years of service.
He was born Feb. 20, 1930
in Pickett County, the son of
Haggard Taylor
Beason
and Ermine
(Mullins) Beason.
He was preceded
in
death by his
parents and
sisters, Ruby Barrett and
Jewell Watkins.
Surviving relatives include
two nephews, James G. Barrett,
Brentwood, Tn.; and
Jerry Watkins, Franklin, Ky.;
niece, Carolyn Stewart, Humbolt,
Tn.; life friends, Ruth
(Dusty) Bennett, Nashville;
and Helen Craft, Albany, Ky.,
other family members and a
host of friends.
A special thanks to long

Brett Schwarz.
The funeral service was
held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 8,
2009 at Brown Funeral
Chapel, 504 W. Main St.,
Byrdstown with family members
and friends to speak.

Delaney.

Beaty. She
lived most of
her life in
Pickett County and was a
member of the Bloomington
Christian Church.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, her first husband,
Arkley Lee Amonett;
second husband, Tom Barton
Amonett; three sisters, Delta
Garrett, Alma Jones and
Clara Phelps; brother, Delmer
Beaty.
Surviving relatives include
two daughters, Bonnie Hedge
and husband, Paul, Franklin,
Tn.; Faye Phillips and husband,
Bruce, Winston Salem,
NC; four sons, Richard Amonett
and wife, Sue, Indianapolis,

passed away May 2, 2009 at
Peidmont Hospital, Atlanta,
Ga. She was a retired Paulding
Co. school teacher in the
New Georgia Community.
She was born June 15, 1932
in Moodyville, the daughter of
the late Grover and Pansy
(Moody) Hill. She was of the
Baptist faith, a member of the
Order of Eastern Star and a
member of the Retired Teachers
Organization.
She was preceded in death
by her parents and three
brothers: Elworth, Wilburn
and Dale Hill.
Surviving relatives include
husband, James Edward
Horner Sr. and wife, Janette-
Mongolia; David Scott Horrner,
Douglasville, Ga.; four
sisters Dee Perrin and Valda
Manis, both of Dayton, Oh.;
Voslane Swallie, Union, Oh.;
Van Hood, Phoenix, Az.; two

passed away April 30, 2009 at
Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was a housewife.
She was born Oct. 24, 1918
in Overton County, the
daughter of the late Ida B.
Buck Winningham. She was a
member of the First Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death
by her mother, her husband,
Roy Wilbur Poston; son, Joe
Poston and two brothers Clois
and Wade Winningham.
Surviving relatives include
daughters June and Bill Robbins,
Livingston; Brenda and
Wayne Williams, Byrdstown;
daughter-in-law Barbara Poston,
Sevierville; sister-in-law
Bessie Winningham, Livingston;
seven grandchildren:

was at Good Hope Cemetery.
