James Knox Polk Zachary
May 18, 1931 - May 16, 2009

BYRDSTOWN--James Knox Polk Zachary, 77, 1144 Beason
Rd., Byrdstown, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Clinton
County Hospital in Albany, Ky. He was a retired General
Motors employee.
He was born May 18, 1931 in Pickett
County, the son of Hobert Zachary and Ruby
(Evans) Zachary. He lived past several years
in Pickett County and was a veteran that
served in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
his wife Lerlene (Storie) Zachary; two sisters
Genevie Asberry and Nellie Fox; and brother,
Hobert Zachary Jr.
Surviving relatives include two daughters
Joanie Zachary, Tampa, Fl.; and Sandy
Mamot, Dallas, Tx.; son, Mark Zachary, Palm Harbor, Fl.; four
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and
friends.
Funeral services were held May 23, 2009 at 4 p.m. from
Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cross officiating. Burial
was at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, In. May 26, at 1 p.m.
Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown was in charge of the
arrangements.
