July 6, 2009. She was a registered
nurse in the Army and
a housewife. She was a member
of Wolf River Baptist
She was born Nov. 28, 1916
in Pickett County, the daughter
of Peter Turney and Esther
(Amonett) Copeland. She
lived most of his life in West
Field, NJ.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; husband, Walter
Chiles; two sisters, Hazel
Reagan and Kathleen Reagan;
brother, Turney
Surviving relatives include
three sisters, Maurine Holt
and Sylvia Sells, both of Byrdstown;
Doris Neal and husband
Ralph, Knoxville; three
brothers, Delano Copeland
and wife, Jean,. Byrdstown;
Gale Copeland and wife Eva,
Byrdstown; Jerry Doyle
Copeland and wife, Linda,
Powder Springs, Ga.; sisterin-
law, Sallie Copeland, Byrdstown,
host of nieces,
nephews, other family members
and friends.
Funeral services were held
July 8 at 2 p.m. from Brown
Funeral Chapel with Bro.
Ricky Cross and Bro. Randall
Sidwell officiating. Burial was
at Amonett Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Joe Copeland,
James Sells, Larry and Scott
Storie, James and Kenneth
Aaron. Special care was provided
by Brown Funeral

away July 6, 2009 at Ball Memorial
Hospital in Muncie.
She was born Oct. 9, 1927
in Byrdstown to Clarence and
Laura (Easterly) Storie. She
was a factory employee and
loved her flowers and being
with her family.
She was preceded in death
by her parents Clarence and
Laura Storie; stepmother
Dora Storie; two sons, Billy
and Crosier Pritchard; two
brothers, Willard and Glen
Storie; grandson, Billy Joe
Surviving relatives two
sons Lonnie Pritchard and
Larry Pritchard (Brenda), all
of Muncie, In.; three sisters,
Peggy McFarland, Louisville,
Ky.; Glee Westfall, Hartsville,
Oh.; Mae Westfall, Cambridge,
Oh.; two brothers,
Hoover and Doyle Storie, both
of Pall Mall; four grandchildren

in the Mt. Era Cemetery.

Dwight “Papa Do” Dyer, 56,
1555 Bilbrey Park Drive,
Cookeville, passed away July
5, 2009 at Cookeville Regional
Medical Center. He was a
past parts manager with
Nixon Detroit Diesel.
He was born Aug. 31, 1952
in Byrdstown, the son of Raymond
and Ova (Sells) Dyer.
He lived half of his life in
Byrdstown and the other half
in Nashville and Cookeville.
He was preceded in death
by his father Raymond Dyer
and brother, Michael Dyer.
Surviving relatives include
daughter, Lola J. Dyer,
Brooklyn, NY; son, Michael
Dwight Dyer, Oakland Park,
Fl.; special nephew, Charles
Dyer II, Nashville; mother,
Ova Dyer, Cookeville; three
sisters, Lola Dyer Sloan and
husband, Tony, Albany, Ky.;
