Everett Ray "Doc"Sells
November 19, 1916 - September 7, 2009

BYRDSTOWN--Everett Ray “Doc” Sells, 92, Pickett Care and
Rehabilitation Center, and a former resident of Jolly Road,
Byrdstown, passed away Sept. 7, 2009 at Pickett Care & Rehab.
He was a farmer, sawmill employee and a past State Highway
Department employee.
He was born Nov. 19, 1916 in Clinton Co., Ky., the son of
Frank and Gertie (Shipley) Sells. He lived most of his life in
Pickett County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marie Sells;
six brothers, two sisters and son-in-law Junior Tallent.
Surviving relatives include three daughters: Connie Lee and
husband, Billy, Byrdstown; Peggy Smith and husband, Paul,
Milner, Ga.; Jennetta Tallent, Hope, In.; son, Richard Sells,
Byrdstown; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; three
step great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three
step great great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, and
special friend, Charlene Martin.
Funeral services were held Sept. 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. from
Brown Funeral chapel with Bro. Tim Tallent officiating. Burial
was at Peolia Cemetery in Albany, Ky. Grandsons served as
pallbearers. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral
Chapel of Byrdstown.
