BYRDSTOWN--Gleah Joanne (Neal) Wallace, 64, 2099 Harrison Road, Byrdstown, passed away Oct. 11, 2009 at her residence. She was a factory employee.
She was born Jan. 21, 1945 in Pickett County, the daughter of Bob and Daisy (Ferrell) Neal. She lived all of her life in Pickett County and was a member of Bloomington Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger Wallace.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Debra Jo (Winningham) Alfaro, Byrdstown; three sons, Donald Keith Winningham, Darryl Ray Winningham and Roger Dale Wallace, Jr., all of Byrdstown; 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Oct. 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins and Bro. Randall Sidwell officiating. Burial was at Neal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nathan and Matthew Winningham, Cody Chilton, Millard Abbott, Richard and Earnest Pierce and Richard Burton. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.

BYRDSTOWN--Keen Edman Gunter, 91, Pickett County Care & Rehabilitation Center, Byrdstown, passed away Oct. 11, 2009 at the center. He was a retired farmer, county employee, manager of a logging crew and a heavy equipment operator.
He was born Nov. 12, 1917 in Pickett County, the son of William and Mary Junnie (Amonett) Gunter. He lived all of his life in Pickett County and was a member of the Calvary Bible Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Wonnie Gunter; second wife, Freda Winningham Gunter, third wife, Nell Rains Gunter; two sisters, Hila Huddleston and Edna Crouch.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Dimple Mullins and husband Bob, Byrdstown; two grandchildren, John Mullins (Cathy), Byrdstown; Joy Shewmake (Jackie), Mt. Juliet, Tn.; three great grandchildren, Lori McClaine (Shawn), Cookeville; Larae Beaty (Ron), Byrdstown; Jessica Shewmake, Mt. Juliet, Tn.; other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ivan Raley. Burial followed at Beaty Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald Beaty, Shawn McClaine, Jerry Green, Larry Guthrie, Jeff Green, Steve Crouch, Jackie Parris and Jackie Shewmake. Honorary pallbearers were Denise Boles, Misty Evans, Tiffany Binkley, Teri Maynard, Tonya Gross, Sandra Butler, Paulette Britt, Cody Stearns, Forrest Mullins, Doug Scroggins, Charles Crouch, Valarie York, Shirley Sells, Rebecca Greer, Mechelle Beaty, Jeff Amonett, Ginger Johnson and Libby Strickland.
Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
