MONROE--Herbert Hershel Sells, 95, 999 Herb Sells Lane, Monroe, 95, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. He was a farmer.
He was born Feb. 22, 1914 in Pickett County, the son of Fount and Dora (Boles) Sells. He lived most of his life in Pickett County. He was a member of the Bethsaida Christian Church, a farmer and a veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Junnie Earline Sells; two brothers, Frazier and Earl Sells.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Gloria Sells, Monroe; Judy Garrett and husband, Michael, Monroe; Dolores Storie and husband, Hoover, Pall Mall; two sons, Jimmy Sells and wife, Jane, Monroe; Jerry Sells and wife Joyce, Monroe; two sisters, Clomanza Shook, Apache Junction, Az.; Hyla Richardson, Dresden, Tn.; brother, John Sells, Monroe; eight grandchldren, nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Oct. 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Dr. Lyle Anderson officiating. Burial was at Bethsaida Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Garrett, Jimmy Sells, Jr., Jared Garrett, Joshua Sells, Matt Massengille, John Keisling and Wade Williams. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdsto
