Candidate petitions for the county election

The deadline for all candidate petitions for the county election was February 20th. The Republican Primary will be held on May 6th, which will determine which republican will face the democratic and independent candidates in the August 7th General Election.
The PRESS is offering free announcements for candidates until two weeks of the qualifying deadline, which now only leaves school board and city candidates. Both the school board and city candidates have until April 3rd to turn in petitions, which will be printed after the qualifying deadline.
