Pickett County Sheriff’s Department investigating possible armed robbery
The Pickett County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of armed robbery at Dale Hollow Shell at approximately 8:35 p.m. on January 28th.
According to the report, Cynthia Phillips of Burnside, Ky., stated that an unknown white male approached her in the parking lot with a gun and demanded drugs, then grabbed her purse and stole $975 from her wallet. When local deputies questioned Phillips about the description of the suspect, she stated his face was covered but described the clothing and that he fled the scene on foot.
Deputies quickly searched the area but found no one fitting the description of the suspect. The incident is still under investigation by the Pickett County Sheriff’s Department.
