Two arrested in recent robberies, several charges are pending

The Pickett County Sheriff's Department has arrested two people involved in recent area robberies.
According to the arrest report, on February 5th, Pickett County Deputies Malcolm Johnson and Billy Hammock responded to a call concerning a possible robbery in progress at Byrdstown Hair and Spa.
Upon arriving at scene, Deputy Johnson noticed a broken window and he and Deputy Hammock entered through a door which appeared to have been broke open.
While inside, deputies found Adam Amonett, 20, 4276 Harlan Lee Rd., and took him into custody for questioning.
Amonett is currently being charged with burglary, vandalism, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, and simple possession.
Another robbery occurred on Monday, Feb. 9th at Specialty Woodworking. Deputies Billy Hammock and Chico Conner were called to Specialty Woodworking where it appeared that the door to main office had been knocked open and items were believed to have been missing.
Deputy Hammock gathered evidence and obtained a surveillance video where a suspect is shown taking items. The suspect was identified as Daniel Bilbrey, 29, 104 Westgate Dr., and is being charged with two counts of burglary, theft over $1,000, theft under $500 and other charges are pending.
