Asberry candidate for Property Assessor

Barry Hoyle Asberry has announced that he will be a candidate for the office of Property Assessor and has made the following statement:
“I, Barry Hoyle Asberry, want to be your next property assessor and I will be a candidate in the August general election. As your next property assessor I promise to vigorously oppose any property tax increase whether it originates in the county commission or town council. This opposition will extend to the limits of legal resources and common civility. I’ve chosen to seek this office as an independent candidate because I want to fully devote my time of property assessor to serve the people of Pickett County not promoting the agenda of a political party.
Thank you in advance for your votes and support. You will be the difference that we make.”
