The things I have learned in D.A.R.E. can really make a differance in my life and maybe even yours. Here are some things I have learned in D.A.R.E. I have learned this thing called a D.A.R.E. decision making model. It helps you make better choices in life. This is what each letter stands for.
D-define which means what is the problem. A-assess which means what is the choices to the problem. R-respond which means what is the choice, and last but not least the E-evaluate which means did I make a good choice. I have also learned things that affect the body. If there is anybody in this room who chews tobacco or smokes or takes marijuana or even drinks alcohol.
Please if you don't listen to your friends and family about stopping. Maybe you will listen to me not as a friend or family but as a young kid who cares about you. So if you chew tobacco and smoke cigarettes here are some facts that may help you stop and realize what will happen to you if you don't stop. Smoking causes breathing problems and bad breath. Also smoking causes heart deseases and cigarettes contain nictotine-a powerfully addictive substance. Chewing tobacco affects your body’s health. Taking marijuana cause more cold and upper respiratory problems. Also if affects your brain and body for example-slows coordination and reflexes. Alcohol drinkers your turn. Too much alcohol can slow down the body and lead to a coma and even death. Also it slows down the brain and body for example-loss of self control. So please listen to me and stop using alcohol , tobacco and marijuana. Please, please, stop and realize what could happen to you. If you stop you can make a difference in yours and everyone elses. So I pledge to stay drug free.
