Pickett registered sex offender on the run

Late Tuesday, March 24th, a woman called 911 and claimed that she had been assaulted and raped. She alleged that Lonnie Calvin Storie, 55, of Stepp Gap Rd, was her attacker. Storie, a registered sex offender, was convicted in 1995 for aggravated rape and in 1994 for aggravated sexual battery.
Pickett County Deputies were dispatched to the Storie residence, and Storie was nowhere to be found. Deputies searched until the next morning.
On Thursday, Sheriff Clois Brown notified the media that a registered sex offender has allegedly raped and assaulted again and is believed to be on the run.
Lonnie Storie was last seen driving a white 1986 Mazda pickup truck with Pickett County tags.
If you have any information about his whereabouts, please call the Pickett Sheriff's Department at 864-3210.
