Changes at Pickett Election Commission

Pickett County Election
Commisson Board met April
24th and appointed three new
Republican commissioners.
The change in commissioners
was due to a Republican
majority in the Tennessee
Legislature. All county election
commissions in the state
of Tennessee are now to be
comprised of three Republicans
and two Democrats. The
newly appointed Republican
commissoners are Jeff Masiongale-
Chairman; Rex
Melton-Vice Chairman; Keith
Robbins-Member. The two
Democratic commissioners are
Fred Elder-Secretary; and
Hewel Brown-Member.
Once the new election commission
board was appointed,
the first order of business was
to elect a new Administrator of
Elections. A motion was made
to appoint Tim Clark to the
position which was effective
immediately. Clark replaces
Johnny Lee who held the position
since January 1998.
