Military Team Bass Competitors to be Entertained by an Unbelievable Show LineupThe 18th Annual “Military Bass Team Tournament” promises to be one to remember. During the mandatory registration and dinner for all anglers and their families, American Bass Anglers (ABA) has lined up a fantastic USO Show, with the BAMA Girls, attractive and talented former Miss Alabamas, a performance by Miss Grace Gore, current Miss Tennessee, Cpl. Thibodeaux who will be performing with some of the members of the Toby Keith Easy Money Band and Country Music Star John Carter. Surely, this USO Show will keep the anglers and crowd entertained for nearly two memorable hours. The show will be held at 7:30 p.m. (CST) on Monday, May 5th at the Pickett County High School in Byrdstown.
The Military Team Bass competitors will arrive in Byrdstown for their 18th annual tournament on Monday, May 5th for a registration and dinner followed by the show. Tickets to the show by the general public not participating in the tournament can be purchased at the Byrdstown-Pickett County Chamber of Commerce or the New York Life office in Byrdstown. The ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for ages 12 through 17 and $5 for ages 5 through 11. The tournament will begin on Wednesday, May 7th at first safe light. Weigh-in will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and on Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony to follow. To register for the tournament, you may do so on-line at www.militarybassanglers.com or call toll-free 1-888-203-6222. Participation is open to all active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard members, their dependents 16 years of age or older (holding a valid ID card), National Guard, Reservists, DoD civilians, DoD Contractors and retired military. Contrac-tors must be under active DoD contract during the tournament week. Identification (ID) cards will be checked during the on-site registration. Competitors must have a valid fishing license for the tournament waters.
