Pickett Commissioners meet November 16th
The Pickett County Commissioners met in regular session on November 16, 2009. Present and presiding was the Honorable Stephen Bilbrey, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court. Court was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Clerk Lee who turned the meeting over to Chairman Bilbrey. The invocation was given by Danny Dennis. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given by all. All commissioners were present. The following proceedings were had and entered on the court minutes as wit:
•Approved a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve the agenda as presented. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Misty Dowdy and seconded by Wayne Clayborn to approve the minutes of the October 19, 2009 county court meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by William Gibson and seconded by Danny Dennis to approve Notary: James Robert Beaty and Notary Renewal: Janet M. White. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Deborah Garrett and seconded by Colan Huddleston to approve Resolution Number 09/10-07. this is a resolution authorizing the filling of an application to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Industrial Loan to assist Tennessee Waste Wood Products Inc. to purchase new equipment. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by William Gibson and seconded by Kenny Tompkins to change Peyt and Pace Road to Cornerstone Lane and to remove Peyt and Pace Road from the county road list. Peyt and Pace Road will now be a private drive off of Jones Chapel Road. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Eddie Holt to adjourn until the next scheduled county court meeting on December 14, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call.
