278th Armored CAlvary Regiment leaves for Camp Shelby for training

Some 50 members of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Troop E are shown leaving the Sgt. Alvin C. York Memorial National Guard Armory in Jamestown Sunday morning for training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Following a Christmas break, the troops will return to Camp Shelby for additional training until their deployment to Iraq which is expected to take place in February. Prior to their departure, family members and supporters surrounded the troops holding hands while Fentress County Executive John B. Mullinix led prayer for their safekeeping.
