Thank You to those that donated in recent food drive

On behalf of Commander Glenn Williams and all members of the DAV Hull York Chapter 5, Family Resource Center Advisory Council, and Family Resource Center Director Pat Reagan, there is no way to adequately express our thanks for the help and support we received to make Thanksgiving and Christmas such a success.
Thanks to PCHS and PCK-8 for hosting the annual canned food drive. The students did an excellent job with a count of over 3,100 cans. Thanks to the Principals and all the staff at both schools for their patience and help. Thank you to the FRC Advisory Council members. Thanks to the following businesses and individuals who, donated food, money, gave discounts on products purchased, saved boxes, and allowed us to advertise the food drives: B & K, Jerry’s IGA, Save A Lot at Livingston, Albany, and Jamestown, Food Lion at Cookeville and Livingston, Wal-Mart at Cookeville and Algood, IGA in Albany, 4 Friends Deli.
Thanks to all the churches and individuals in our community that donated food, money and/or services and all the businesses that are still allowing us the space to put donation boxes. Also a big thank you to the FRC Advisory Council members and other volunteers that helped put boxes together and deliver food baskets to more than 130 families during the holiday deliveries. Thanks to the Byrdstown First Christian, First Baptist, Methodist, and Bloomington Christian for supplying the vehicles to deliver the meals. A big thanks goes out to Emily Sells, the Advisory Council president, for coordinating the drives, Becky Matheny for organizing the routes, Dr. Keith Willis, Pastor Louis Davis, and Pastor Randall Sidwell for their many hours of time dedicated to make the food bank better. A very special thank you goes out to all of the volunteers that were able to donate time, money and services to help make this holiday season special for many families in our community. Thank you all so much!
The DAV Hull York Chapter 5 furnished turkeys and rolls for the food baskets for both occasions, while the food bank was able to supply a few hams and the canned goods for the baskets.
If you have never been a volunteer in an organization and are interested in helping others, please contact Patricia Reagan at 931-864-6940 or Emily Sells at 931-864-3310. The blessing is truly in the giving!!
