Family Dollar Burglarized

There was a break-in at the Family Dollar Store, located off Highway 111, in the early hours on Tuesday, March 9th. According to Pickett County Deputy Chico Conner, the unknown number of suspects busted the door locks and the safe and stole around $900. The lights of the business come on automatically when front door is opened, so the breakers were all manually turned off. None of the merchandise is believed to have been disturbed.
If you saw anything that would help in the investigation of the burglary, contact the Pickett County Sheriff's Department 864-3210.
