Motorcyclist airlifted to Vanderbilt after accident on Highway 111

An accident involving a motorcycle and a car occurred on Highway 111 around 9:05 p.m. Wednesday night, May 5th.
According to the accident report, a Lincoln Town Car driven by David Dow Sr., 75, Jones Chapel Rd. was traveling north on Highway 111. Dow made a left-hand turn at the 111 One Stop Gas Station crossing in front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Lawrence Noelting, 41, Sunset Drive.
The motorcycle struck the car at the passenger front tire causing Noelting to hit the windshield.
The passenger of the vehicle, Louise Dow was treated and released on scene for minor injuries. Air Evac transported Noelting to Vanderbilt where he is being treated for his injuries.
Charges are pending against Dow and the accident is being investigated by THP Wade Williams and Sgt. James Sells.
